Jay

Our local Jays tend to be very shy and retiring, only venturing out of the cover of conifer plantations in autumn to stock their larders with acorns. Recently a pair of birds have been spending time in the oaks close to the house foraging for any acorns missed earlier on. They soon homed in on a cache of peanuts placed on an old stump providing a chance for a few pictures.
