Goldcrest02

Goldcrests are common enough around the garden and the surrounding woods. They are very much high rise dwellers. This one was one of a pair, which had chosen to nest five metres out at the end of a limb half way up a thirty metres high spruce. This opportunistic shot was taken at a more earthly level of one searching for caterpillars in an old rowan tree in the garden.
